what i did, what i wore: england
04: ins and outs for 2024 and the outfits i packed for christmas in england
There were so many things I wanted to write before the year ended. My favorite books of 2023. More thoughts on real community and what that looks like offline. What I learned this year and what I hope for the next. A round-up of the most worn pieces in my closet.
Instead, I let myself just be this holiday season. I hardly pulled out my phone or laptop during the 8 days I spent in England with my husband visiting his family for the holidays. And the time not spent writing those pieces were spent being present and having conversation with loved ones and taking walks and finishing books and meeting new friends and eating nice food, which I think is a good trade-off.
What maybe isn’t as good of a trade-off… staying up rattling off my 2024 ins and outs this morning at 5am instead of sleeping because of jet lag.
