in my empties: my signature scent, favorite candle and $7 drugstore find
11: products I love for myself and to gift to a friend (some of which happen to be on sale)
If you’re not in the mood to read about silly little products right now, I totally understand. Feel free to skip over this email - I won’t be offended.
If you’re more interested in what I’m reading, career musings, where I find the time to read or what’s upcoming for Seen Library, you can find all that here. Or if you’d rather read up on something a bit more substantial, I have some recommendations here.
If you are in the mood for silly little products, though, I’m sharing some things I’m liking and leaving — everything from pantry goods, home and personal scents and beauty products — below. I haven’t shared empties in a while (since July and May before that) so thought I’d bring it back.
Below you’ll find recent empties that include my signature scent, the candle I keep stocked at home, my new favorite $7 drugstore find and a great gift idea.
Remember, please only purchase what you really think you need! If you already have a cleanser, don’t order another. If your skin is just fine, don’t mix it up. And if you are tempted to buy any of the below, take a few days to think about it before adding to cart. Also keep in mind that these products are ones that may work well for me and my skin, but may not necessarily be the best for you!
Also — only 8% of all plastic is recycled and plastic used in skincare and beauty is even more difficult to recycle, especially those small tubes, bottle pumps, and mascara wands. Instead of dropping them in the trash or the blue bin at home, I keep a bag under my sink for empties and drop them off at a nearby Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack, as they recycle skincare and beauty packaging with TerraCycle.
