I enjoyed Happy Place, but my favourite Emily Henry book is Book Lovers. I loved the main romance, but what made me love this book is the focus on the relationship between two sisters. That was my favourite aspect of the book to be honest 🤎
Happy Place wasn’t my favorite Emily Henry — I kinda struggled with it too. But just in case you haven’t read her others — I really loved People We Meet on Vacation and Book Lovers! Book Lovers in particular was a favorite.
I really don't know if I could read another one of her books after that!! :( But my cousin did say she loved Book Lovers, too!! I'm just scared I will dislike it like I did with Happy Place, haha
A Place for Us is also one of my favorite books. I thought about it for months after reading it. Thanks for your recommendations - I'll definitely add some of these to my list!
Echoing that Happy Place was not good (!!) & that Book Lovers is much better (!!)
Ok this seems to be the dominant consensus!

I will say, my favorite part of the book was about familial expectations and how to break away from that, rather than the romance x

Same, it's a book I always gift, too! Let me know how you like the others :)
