I read a lot of articles, listen to a lot of podcasts, and watch more TikToks than I’d like to admit. Below are the ones I came across this week that I thought were worth sharing:
Hafsa Lodi’s piece about Mahsa Amini, the truth about the hijab, and the global struggles for women’s liberation. She says, “Be it in the East or the West, state-sanctioned patriarchy takes many forms. Sometimes, it looks like the American Supreme Court curbing women’s constitutional rights to seek abortions. Other times, it looks like the systemic oppression of Muslim women through enforced dress codes masked as markers of piety.” I’ve also found @nicolenajafi to be a really great resource.
