seen library dinner party & book giving

the only seen library event in LA this summer & the last one until fall

Ali LaBelle

(and creator of Pasta Girlfriend!) and I had a little coffee date at Mandarin Coffee Stand and caught up on work, our attempts at taking breaks from work, and our passion projects — hers being Pasta Girlfriend and mine being Seen Library. We talked a bit about the incredible dinner party she threw last year and we agreed (pretty noncommittally, I thought!) that we should do a joint dinner party one day, where we serve up delicious pasta and wine while hosting a Seen Library book giving.

But because Ali is Ali, and she can’t help but dream up creative concepts and ideas, the conversation continued. After a few ideas that hit dead ends, though, this dream of doing a dinner party seemingly fizzled out. That is, until I reached back out exactly a month ago feeling inspired after the Seen Library bookstand — even after I had told myself I’d take a break in June.
