Splurging on…
The Row Idaho Tote in Brown Leather which cost me a pretty penny, but treated myself to as it’s become rare I purchase new handbags or the latest “it bags,” especially these last few years as I’ve realized how I pretty much only use this one I wear nearly almost everyday — linked here. I love how non descript yet luxurious it looks and that it easily fits 1-2 books along with all my other essentials. I also love the dark brown color, similar to The Row Everyday Bag I have, as it goes with everything and is more soft and subtle than black. It’s now my new go-to for everyday wear and I’ve worn it even more than I expected. If you love the shape and size but hate the price, there is another version in Canvas that is more than half as much and just as chic.
I know the price tag on this bag makes my spending look reckless and irresponsible, but I’m surprisingly very frugal in many areas, picking and choosing what it is I do spend my money on, which is how I justify a purchase like this (at least that’s what I tell myself)… I avoid spending on expensive membership fees, food delivery apps, most beauty maintenance, alcohol (which can easily cost people more than $1500 each year!), and Starbucks (more below) — where one reporter found he spent $2300 in just one year.
Want something that won’t break the bank (as much)? Here’s my favorite bag around the $200 mark.
